How much a digital marketing agency charges in Chile in 2026

A digital marketing agency in Chile charges on average between CLP 200,000 and CLP 1,500,000 per month in 2026, according to the quote platform Cronoshare. Basic plans start at CLP 200,000, and full-service plans that combine several channels can exceed CLP 5,000,000. What explains the difference is not the agency but the work: how many channels are managed, how many pieces are produced each month and whether the price includes ad spend.

This guide helps you read a quote: what ranges the market uses, what a monthly fee actually buys, what usually costs extra, how invoicing works in Chile and what to check before signing. If you run a business in Chile from abroad, amounts are in Chilean pesos (CLP).

Content marketingCLP 1,000,000 – 3,000,000 per month (package)Articles, guides or video pieces produced on a recurring basis.
Web design and developmentCLP 1,200,000 – 6,000,000+ per projectA one-off payment, not monthly. Maintenance is separate.

The ranges are wide because each line covers very different work. "Social media" can mean three graphics a week or an original video series with on-location shoots. That is why two quotes with the same service name can differ by half and both be reasonable.

What the monthly fee buys: a real example

A range does not show how much work is behind it. A concrete example helps more. In the monthly content Origami produces for Coldwell Banker Los Trapenses, September 2026 included:

When you compare proposals, ask for this level of detail in writing: how many pieces, in which format and how often. It is the only way to know whether two prices describe the same work.

What the price usually does not include

Invoice or fee receipt: what you really pay

In Chile, the same amount costs differently depending on the tax document you receive. With a CLP 500,000 service as an example:

Example with a CLP 500,000 service
DocumentWhat you payWhat to consider
Invoice (factura)CLP 500,000 + VAT (19%) = CLP 595,000If your company is registered for VAT, that VAT can be used as a tax credit.
Fee receipt (boleta de honorarios)CLP 500,000, no VATIf your company is required to withhold, it withholds 15.25% (CLP 76,250) and pays it to the SII, Chile's tax authority. The provider receives CLP 423,750.

The 15.25% withholding is the rate in force in 2026 according to the SII, and it rises every year until it reaches 17% in 2028. Agencies set up as companies usually issue invoices; many independent professionals issue fee receipts. Always ask whether the price you are given is net or includes taxes, and check with your accountant how best to record it. At Origami we work with invoices.

How agencies charge

Many agencies, Origami among them, do not work with fixed-price plans but with tailored proposals: first we define what the brand needs, then the scope and the price. If an agency quotes without asking anything about your business, it is quoting a package, not your case.

One integrated agency or several suppliers

Hiring one agency for social media, another for campaigns and a freelancer for design may cost less on each line, but there are costs that never show up in a quote: three briefs, three approval rhythms and three visual standards that someone on your team has to coordinate. When the brand is split up, so is responsibility for the result.

Splitting suppliers makes sense when a channel needs very deep specialization or when your in-house team already coordinates the brand. Otherwise, a team that sees every piece usually saves more time than it costs. That is how we work at Origami, with social media, Google and Meta campaigns and design under the same approach.

What to check in a proposal before signing

Terms depend on the type of work: a one-off project is not contracted the same way as a monthly service. In any case, make sure these are in writing:

  1. The scope: how many pieces, formats, channels and meetings it includes.
  2. The duration and how the service can be ended.
  3. Approval times on your side, which also affect deadlines.
  4. Who owns the ad accounts, social profiles and editable files.
  5. Which reports you will receive and how often.
  6. Whether the price is net or includes taxes.

Common mistakes when requesting quotes

  1. Comparing only the total price without comparing the amount of work.
  2. Not asking whether ad spend is included. It is the most frequent difference between two proposals.
  3. Accepting a verbal scope. What is not written down gets argued about later.
  4. Leaving accounts in the agency's name. Ad accounts and social profiles should belong to your company.

Frequently asked questions

Is ad spend included in the agency's price?

Usually not. The agency fee pays for management: strategy, setup, pieces and optimization. What you pay Google or Meta to show the ads is separate, and it is best charged to your company's card.

Should I hire a freelancer or an agency?

A freelancer can be cheaper for a one-off service or a single channel. An agency makes sense when you need several disciplines coordinated and continuity even if one person is away. Decide based on how much coordination you can take on yourself.

Is there a minimum contract?

It depends on the agency and the work. Monthly services often have an initial term, because the first months include diagnosis and setup. Always check the term and the termination conditions before signing.

Does the price include VAT?

Always ask. If the agency issues an invoice, 19% VAT is added to the net amount. If it issues a fee receipt, there is no VAT, but your company may have to withhold the 15.25% in force in 2026.

How long until an agency's work shows results?

It depends on the channel. Paid campaigns can generate inquiries within the first weeks. SEO and brand building on social media take longer, because they build up month by month. Ask from the start which indicators will be reviewed and how often.
